FREEDIVER COURSE

This course will enable you to feel safe and comfortable when freediving to depths of up to 20 meters.

FOR BEGINNERS - NO FREEDIVE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED 

Although this might sound difficult to achieve in a few days, you will be surprised by what an experienced team of Freediving Instructors can do for you. Our unique breathing techniques together with the effective structure of the course program in the classroom and water sessions create a fun educative environment and a successful freediving experience.

The 2.5 day Freediver Course includes 2 academic lessons and 2 water sessions. In the classroom, instructors use videos, questions, and breathing exercises to boost confidence and skills before the afternoon water session. With a maximum ratio of 3 students per instructor, providing personalized attention. The Instructors will be with the students at all times while underwater regardless of depth, thus increasing student confidence and safety.

DAY 1

  • Introduction to freediving and the different disciplines

  • Familiarization with essential freediving equipment

  • Freediving technique - how to move efficiently underwater

  • Equalization techniques

  • Breathing techniques

  • Safety points

  • Preparation of equipment

Classroom Theory

DAY 2

  • Gear preparation and surface swim to training location

  • Practice of breathing technique in the water

  • Practice efficient kicking technique

  • Practice of body positioning

  • Buoyancy check

  • Freedives on the dive-line to a maximum depth of 12 meters

Water Training Session
07:00 - 12:00

  • Feedback about the freediving session on day 1

  • Fine-tuning the breathing technique for deep dives and equalization exercises

  • Freediving safety diver etiquette

  • Identifying risks and limits

  • Rescue procedures

Classroom Theory
16:00 - 18:00pm


DAY 3

  • Warm up dives

  • Practice of new breathing technique

  • Buddy team freedives

  • Safety procedures and rescue practice

  • Freedives on the dive-line to a maximum depth of 20 metres

  • When conditions and time allow, visit local dive site for underwater exploration of corals, tropical fish
